Thank you for your interest in submitting your original material to our digital archive. By adding to this archive, you are contributing to the emerging field of transnational feminist memory and memorialization studies. Whether you're a scholar, a public intellectual, an artist, an activist, a practitioner, a community organizer, an archivist, or someone personally connected to political violence, we would love to learn more about your archivable material and/or a research project, centre or initiative that you think should be included in our bibliography.
Guidelines for Submission
Submissions may be in the form of document (.doc, PDF, .pages, etc.), image (.jpg, .tiff, .png, etc.), moving image (.mp4, .mov, .avi, .wmv, etc.), presentation (.pptx, .ppt, .key, .prezi, etc.), audio (.mp3, .wav, .aac, .flac, etc.), web links, and website and social media records (.warc, .arc, .json, .xml, etc.). Each submission must be accompanied by an explanation of its relevance to our project’s focus on the transnational and feminist dimensions of memory and memorialization. There are no limits to the number of submissions each person can make, but only one file may be uploaded at a time. If you have multiple materials connected to the same site or source, send us a link to a shareable/downloadable cloud folder so that we can review them there.
Please note that submission of your original materials does not automatically lead to inclusion in the archive. Our Research Team reviews each submission and its relevance to our project prior to contacting contributors with a notice of acceptance. Those who receive an acceptance notice will be sent copyright agreements for signature prior to the materials being entered into our archive, and will have the option of having a brief bio included in our list of archive contributors.
Copyright and Permissions
Contributors must have full copyright over their submitted materials, or it must be in the public domain, in order for us to include them in our archive. If any material is found to be in violation of copyright, it will be immediately removed from the archive and relevant individuals and authorities will be contacted.
Contributors will retain copyright over their materials. They will sign a License to Publish Agreement that grants permission for our project to publish the materials on our website and to make them publicly accessible. In the agreement, it clearly states that at no point will our project sell or attempt to profit from your materials, nor will we give permission to third parties to distribute or publish them. Contact us if you would like to review a copy of our License to Publish Agreement prior to initiating submission.
